Many have asked why Moto International’s showroom has been a bit sparse lately. In fact, some models have been totally out of stock!
The reason for all this was that as we ran out of several models in late summer and it wasn’t viable or smart to replenish when the 2016s were still full price and 2017s were just around the corner (We typically think of September 1st as the beginning of the new model year). And pending new arrivals trigger deals on the previous edition.
So now we have new fall promotions from Aprilia and Moto Guzzi on remaining 2016s. There are the familiar rebates, in this case ranging from $750 to $2,000 on certain models, but also price reductions to us, which have added as much as $3,000 in savings. And that’s why we call it Double-Down Deals on 2016s.
As is usual with rebates, they are time limited. In this case, they are due to expire March 31, 2017. And, as is typical with items bought at reduced prices, quantities are limited to just those motorcycles.
Examples? The Aprilia Tuono 1100 RR, Cycle World Magazine’s Sport Bike of the Year, in gray down from $14,799 to $11,999. Or maybe a Guzzi Audace? List is $16,390; now $11,990. And then there’s the mighty Aprilia RSV4 RF reduced from $20,999 to $15,999. Like the Guzzi Stornello? Or RacerHow about at $7,990 instead of $11,190? Same for the Aprilia Caponord Rally: reduced from $16,199 to $12,999.*
*All prices, of course, are just for the bike. Additionally, there is freight and setup, and unless verified out-of-state residency, document fee, sales tax, and title/license.
