About Moto International

Moto International is a dealer for Aprilia motorcycles/scooters and Moto Guzzi motorcycles. We feel that these companies combine the uniqueness of European brands with the customer service of larger companies. Moto I is also the home of Guzziology, the internationally-known self-help guide to Moto Guzzis.

MOTO INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION

We’ve never understood dealerships shouting "We’re #1!” Number 1 at what? Selling spark plugs on this side of the street? And what does a #1 claim mean to customers? The one positive thing it can show is that a dealership has success with a brand and is therefore likely to be knowledgeable about the bikes and also to have a real commitment to them.

Moto I has been the biggest-selling Guzzi dealer in the US for 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. We were the top-selling US Aprilia motorcycle dealer in 2008 and we’ve been in the top three many times (sorry to be inexact, but we don’t spend a lot of time keeping track of these things). In Aprilia scooters, we’ve been as high as third in 2008 (which is pretty remarkable, as most big dealers are in Florida or California).

More important to us is the feedback we get from customers, best exemplified by the biannual reader’s survey in SoundRider! We’ve been picked as favorite for sales, favorite for parts & accessories, favorite for service, favorite overall, favorite for Aprilia, and favorite for Moto Guzzi. The only category we’ve never won is fancy showroom. But we’d rather be known for doing right by our customers than for trying to woo them with bling.

WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT OURSELVES

Aprilia and Moto Guzzi motorcycles and scooters are about all that we do. We’re all about powered two-wheelers; we don’t sell quads or watercraft or snowmobiles.

Moto International is an Aprilia/Moto Guzzi dealership. Anyone can post up a web site and offer items for sale. But as a dealership, we have direct access to all 17,000+ items in the current Moto Guzzi parts/accessories/apparel catalog and the 29,000+ items in Aprilia’s. Plus, our staff is trained by the Aprilia/Guzzi’s US importer. We don’t just sell parts; we install them every day in our service department. The various models are more than simply what customers own and buy things for; they’re probably bikes we sold new and serviced.

Moto International has a ton of experience with motorcycles, dealerships, and Aprilia/Guzzi. We’ve been in business for over 20 years. We’ve been an Aprilia dealer since 2001 and Guzzi since our inception. One of us started in this business 30 years ago! Our employees each bring many years of relevant experience to the table that we believe to be of exceptional value to our customers. As of 2013, our team totals 68 years of experience at Moto International, 116 years of experience working in the motorcycle industry, and 239 years of experience riding motorcycles.

Moto International is not involved in racing. We don’t overcharge you to pay for our fun.

No one at Moto International is paid by commission. Our employees are not induced to "up-sell” beyond your needs.

Moto International encourages test rides. We believe that you are a better judge than some magazine and that character and charisma are very likely as important as any measure of performance in your buying decision.

Moto International publishes true out-the-door prices and we never mark up freight and setup charges. Freight fees are never more than the manufacturer’s separate charge to us and our setup fees are very reasonable because they reflect true costs, not a sneaky means to overcharge you.

Moto International doesn’t charge "handling fees” for parts special orders. In many dealerships, customers ordering parts have to pay extra for the fact that what they need isn’t in stock.

Moto International doesn’t inflate interest rates on bike sales. We only want to help you find the best rate possible.

Moto International doesn’t charge a Document (Doc) fee on bike sales. We consider doing the paperwork as part of the deal, not an excuse to charge you more.

Moto International often charges less than suggested list for parts. We have established ourselves as an internationally-recognized source for parts and accessories. We have many common items at prices drastically below list.

We wrote the book on Moto Guzzi. According to Cycle World Magazine, Guzziology, our 766-page self-help guide to Guzzi motorcycles, "contains everything anyone could ever want to know – and then some.” Guzziology has been purchased by customers in all 50 states plus 35 other countries.
